A federal jury awarded Nike $11 million in a counterfeiting and trade dress infringement lawsuit.

The verdict holds a social media influencer and an apparel company liable for infringing on Nike and Air Jordan trademarks. Infringed assets include the Swoosh and Jumpman logos alongside the Dunk trade dress.

The jury granted Nike $8 million in statutory damages under the Lanham Act. The court added $3 million in punitive damages to the total award.

DLA Piper represented Nike in the legal proceedings. The ruling strengthens trade dress protections against counterfeiters who promote altered designs through social media channels.
