Nokia officially rejoined the EURO STOXX 50 index at the market open on September 21, 2026. The Finnish telecommunications firm returns to the Eurozone’s leading blue-chip index exactly one year after its removal. Index provider STOXX announced the inclusion on September 1 following its annual review.

Nokia’s share price more than doubled over the past year. This growth follows a strategic pivot toward selling fiber-optic equipment for AI data centers.

The inclusion forces passive investment funds and ETFs tracking the index to purchase Nokia shares for portfolio rebalancing. Nokia and French utility Engie replace automaker Volkswagen and information services group Wolters Kluwer in the index.
