Nintendo of America announced a new pricing structure for upcoming Switch 2 games in the United States.

The company will implement different Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP) for physical and digital formats of Switch 2 exclusives starting May 2026.

The first title under this policy, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, will cost $69.99 for a physical copy.

The digital version of the same title will retail for $59.99.

Nintendo attributed the price gap to the varying costs of producing and distributing each format.

This strategy aligns the U.S. market with regions like Europe where price differences already exist.

Retail partners will continue to determine final consumer prices independently of the MSRP.
