Thinking Machines Lab, the AI startup founded by Mira Murati, entered a multi-year partnership with Nvidia. The agreement includes a significant investment and a major chip supply contract.

The startup is currently one year old. It will procure at least one gigawatt of Nvidia's upcoming Vera Rubin next-generation processors. Thinking Machines Lab will use these chips to train its artificial intelligence models.

Deployment of the new systems is scheduled to begin in early 2025. This deal provides the computational power necessary for the startup to compete with larger industry rivals. Specific financial terms remain undisclosed.
