NVIDIA’s venture capital arm, NVentures, participated in a $103 million funding round for British autonomous driving startup Oxa. The UK’s National Wealth Fund also provided backing for the investment.
Oxa will use the capital to accelerate the commercial development of its self-driving software. The technology targets industrial vehicles operating in ports, airports, and factories.
The move reinforces NVIDIA’s strategy to expand its influence beyond data centers into physical AI and robotics. Oxford-based Oxa has focused on automating repetitive industrial driving tasks since its founding in 2014.
The startup views industrial applications as having clearer economic and regulatory paths than passenger autonomous vehicles. This investment serves as a strategic boost to the United Kingdom’s technology sector.
