Nvidia has announced NemoClaw, a new software stack designed to add enterprise-grade security and privacy to the open-source OpenClaw AI agent platform. Unveiled at its GTC 2026 conference, NemoClaw integrates with Nvidia's Agent Toolkit to provide guardrails for autonomous AI agents, addressing security concerns that have been a primary drawback of the rapidly adopted OpenClaw framework.

The system installs a new runtime called NVIDIA OpenShell, which creates an isolated sandbox environment to enforce policy-based controls on agent behavior and data handling. This allows enterprises to deploy AI assistants that can run continuously and access local or cloud-based models while maintaining data privacy and security. The move is seen as a strategic effort by Nvidia to establish a standard software layer for the emerging agentic AI era.
