NVIDIA’s market capitalization is approaching $6 trillion, with demand for its AI GPUs driving record growth. Its customer base is expanding, and demand for its chips is outstripping supply, a view echoed by major cloud providers.
At the OCP Global Summit, NVIDIA announced it would contribute designs for its Vera Rubin platform to the Open Compute Project to help scale AI infrastructure.
NVIDIA also plans to invest in d-Matrix, a rival AI server chip developer, in a deal that would value the startup at $5 billion. The investment follows an earlier announcement that the companies would collaborate on AI inference workloads.
