Positron AI raised $875 million in a Series C funding round. The financing values the AI inference hardware company at $5 billion. NEA, Atreides Management, and Valor Equity Partners co-led the investment. Additional participants include Andra Capital, SemiAnalysis Capital, and Silicon Graphics founder Jim Clark. The company was previously valued at $1 billion during a $230 million round in February 2026.

New capital will fund the final production stages for the Asimov AI processor and Titan system. Positron utilizes a memory-first architecture to bypass industry-wide supply chain constraints. The design uses commodity LPDDR5X memory to avoid shortages currently affecting competitors.

The Asimov chip is scheduled to tape out on TSMC’s N3P process by the end of 2026. Full production is slated for the second half of 2027.
