NVIDIA and SB Energy have partnered to develop a massive AI data center campus in Pike County, Ohio. OpenAI will serve as the primary tenant for the facility.
NVIDIA is making an initial $1.5 billion investment into SB Energy. The agreement establishes NVIDIA as the exclusive provider of AI compute infrastructure for the site.
NVIDIA will provide credit support through residual value guarantees for the multi-year partnership. These payment obligations are capped at $105 billion for the initial phase.
The deal secures land, power, and shell capacity to host NVIDIA’s most advanced AI systems. This strategy directly funds the large-scale infrastructure required for future artificial intelligence development.
