NVIDIA and South Korea’s SK Group announced a $500 billion strategic partnership at an AI Summit in San Francisco. The agreement includes building a 2-gigawatt AI factory and co-developing long-term memory solutions.
SK Telecom will construct the South Korean facility using NVIDIA’s DSX platform. The first phase of the AI factory aims for operations by 2027.
SK Hynix will co-develop and supply next-generation HBM4 memory for NVIDIA’s AI accelerators. This partnership secures a significant portion of the global HBM4 supply. The deal creates a substantial competitive barrier for rivals in the AI chip market.
