Morgan Stanley designated Palo Alto Networks (PANW) as its new top pick in the cybersecurity sector. The bank replaced CrowdStrike with Palo Alto Networks while maintaining an Overweight rating. Analysts raised the price target for the stock from $320 to $387.

The bank expects Palo Alto Networks to benefit from enterprise AI adoption and vendor consolidation. Customers are increasingly standardizing on fewer strategic vendors to secure AI workloads under constrained IT budgets. Morgan Stanley identifies the company's comprehensive platform as a primary advantage for capturing market share.

Morgan Stanley also upgraded Fortinet (FTNT) to Equal-weight from Underweight. The firm downgraded Rapid7 (RPD) to Underweight from Equal-weight. Analysts cited fundamental challenges at Rapid7 and a favorable hardware cycle for Fortinet.
