A pro-Iranian cybercrime group claimed responsibility for cyberattacks against Pinterest and fintech firm Chime. These attacks forced both companies' websites offline.
Chime suffered a distributed-denial-of-service (DDoS) attack on April 1. The incident prevented customers from accessing their financial services.
Chime acknowledged the disruption during the outage but did not disclose the cause. Pro-Iranian hacking collectives are currently increasing activity against Western infrastructure.
