Paramount Skydance formally accused Netflix of a campaign to undermine its $111 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery. Paramount’s chief legal officer alleged in a letter to the U.S. Department of Justice that Netflix is attempting to poison regulators against the deal.
The company claims Netflix fears the creation of a more powerful competitor. Paramount alleges Netflix encouraged the Teamsters union to file formal concerns against the merger.
Netflix denied the allegations and called the claims absurd. The company stated it abandoned its own bid for Warner Bros. months ago to focus on its own business.
