Italy will sell up to a 15% stake in Poste Italiane SpA. The government expects the share sale to raise approximately €2.4 billion.
This move supports a broader privatization program targeting €20 billion by 2026. Proceeds from the divestment will help reduce Italy's public debt.
The Italian Ministry of Finance currently maintains a 29.3% direct holding. State bank Cassa Depositi e Prestiti SpA owns a separate 35% stake.
The government is now inviting consultants to coordinate the offering.
