Qualcomm Ventures entered a share exchange agreement with automotive technology company ECARX Holdings. The deal was signed July 7, 2026. Qualcomm will exchange its equity stake in Singapore-based DreamSmart Technology. In return, Qualcomm will receive 10.33 million Class A ordinary shares of ECARX.
ECARX's broader strategy aims to secure intellectual property from DreamSmart. For Qualcomm, the deal aligns its strategy within smart vehicle and connected device ecosystems. No cash changed hands in the transaction.
The deal is expected to close in August 2026. Qualcomm's new shares in ECARX will be subject to a six-month lock-up period.
