Roblox and Mattel have announced an expanded collaboration to release a new series of games on the Roblox platform based on Mattel's popular brands. The first game to launch will be a "Monster High" experience, debuting on October 24. The partnership will also bring other major Mattel franchises to Roblox, including Barbie, Hot Wheels, Masters of the Universe, and UNO. This move builds on the previous success of "Barbie DreamHouse Tycoon," which has garnered nearly 500 million visits on the platform. In response to the announcement, shares of both Roblox and Mattel saw gains, with Roblox stock increasing by more than 4%. The collaboration is part of Mattel's strategy to extend its physical toy brands into the digital realm to foster sustained fan engagement. On the same day, Roblox also announced its availability on the Samsung Galaxy Store and new Xbox Ally handheld devices, further expanding its platform reach.
