The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation (JPML) consolidated 31 lawsuits against Roblox Corporation, Meta, Snap, and Discord. The JPML grouped the legal actions in the Northern District of California federal court, where Roblox is headquartered.

The lawsuits allege child predators utilized the Roblox platform to target, groom, and exploit minors. Plaintiffs claim Roblox knew the platform was being used for these activities. Furthermore, the company allegedly misrepresented the platform as a safe environment for children.

The consolidated litigation also includes class action accusations of illegal gambling. These claims focus on minors using the platform’s digital currency. Separately, the suits allege the company secretly tracked children’s data.
