Egyptian authorities officially blocked the online gaming platform Roblox. They cited concerns that the platform promotes harmful behavior and exposes children to unsuitable content.

The deputy head of Egypt's Supreme Council for Media Regulation (SCMR) announced the decision following a session discussing digital application risks for children. The SCMR now coordinates with the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) to implement the technical measures for the ban. Egypt joins Iraq, Algeria, and China, which previously blocked or restricted the platform for similar child safety reasons.
