Russia’s Ministry of Digital Development and regulator Roskomnadzor requested law enforcement lift the national ban on Roblox. The U.S. gaming platform guaranteed comprehensive child protection measures and compliance with Russian laws.
Authorities initially blocked the platform in December 2025 for alleged extremist content and LGBT propaganda. Roblox will introduce age-based access restrictions and enhanced content moderation to resolve the dispute.
Roblox shares rose following the news of the potential reinstatement.
