Rheinmetall AG secured a contract to supply weapon systems for the British Army’s new RCH 155 wheeled howitzers. The contract value is in the low three-digit million-euro range. This order serves as a subcontract within a larger procurement program by the United Kingdom.
The RCH 155 howitzer is manufactured by ARTEC, a joint venture between Rheinmetall and KNDS. The United Kingdom placed an order for 72 of these artillery systems. This procurement was finalized in May 2026.
Rheinmetall will provide critical components including elevating masses and on-board tools for the weapon systems.
