German defense firm Rheinmetall secured a contract worth nearly €1 billion to digitalize British Army combat training. The 15-year service agreement forms part of the broader Army Collective Training Service (ACTS) program.
This initiative modernizes training methods by blending live exercises with virtual and constructive simulations. Rheinmetall UK joined the Raytheon UK-led Omnia Training consortium to deliver the program.
As the Land Collective Training Partner, Rheinmetall will design program elements and manage physical training infrastructure. The company will also oversee system configuration for the project.
Operational implementation begins in the summer of 2026. The contract will create and secure numerous skilled jobs across Rheinmetall’s UK locations.
