Safran will invest €120 million into its Montlucon facility in central France. The expansion will create more than 150 new jobs at the site.

The company aims to triple production of hemispherical resonator gyroscopes (HRGs) by 2032. These sensors enable planes, ships, and missiles to navigate precisely without GPS signals.

This investment is part of a €1.4 billion global production expansion plan approved in 2025. The Montlucon site serves as Safran’s specialized hub for inertial navigation and gyroscope technology.
