French pharmaceutical giant Sanofi has partnered with Vietnam Vaccine Joint Stock Company (VNVC) to manufacture three next-generation vaccines in Vietnam. This agreement makes Vietnam the first country in Southeast Asia to produce these advanced medical products. The partnership was officially announced during the Vietnam-France Business Forum in Paris.
The project will establish a manufacturing facility in Tay Ninh Province. This site is designed with a planned annual capacity of approximately 120 million vaccine doses.
This collaboration supports Vietnam’s strategic goal of achieving vaccine self-sufficiency and becoming a regional biotechnology center. For Sanofi, the move expands its presence within the Southeast Asian healthcare ecosystem.
