OMV Petrom and Romgaz installed the Neptun Alpha offshore production platform in the Black Sea. The 16,500-tonne structure sits in waters approximately 120 meters deep.
This milestone keeps the Neptun Deep natural gas project on schedule to begin production in 2027. The companies have already completed drilling for six of the ten planned production wells.
Workers also finished laying a 160-kilometer subsea pipeline to the shore. Future operations will focus on connecting subsea infrastructure and completing the remaining wells.
