Elon Musk’s SpaceXAI released Grok 4.5, the company’s most powerful AI model to date. This marks the first major launch since SpaceXAI went public and acquired the AI coding startup Cursor.
The model competes directly with top-tier offerings from Anthropic and OpenAI. Musk describes Grok 4.5 as an Opus-class model that is faster and more token-efficient than rivals.
The launch coincides with OpenAI’s upcoming release of the GPT-5.6 model. Grok 4.5 is available immediately via the SpaceXAI API, Grok Build, and the Cursor platform.
European Union users will gain access in mid-July. Pricing is set at $2 per million input tokens. Output tokens cost $6 per million.
