Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 8 featuring a wider passport-style design. The main 7.6-inch display adopts a new 4:3 aspect ratio to reduce media letterboxing. This model weighs 201 grams, making it the lightest Z Fold to date.

Samsung set the starting price at approximately $1,900. The base model omits a dedicated telephoto lens to achieve this lower price point. Samsung reserves the telephoto lens for the more expensive Ultra model.

The device carries an IP48 rating for water and dust resistance. This rating offers less protection than the IP68 standard found in competing flagship phones.
