Samsung announced the Galaxy Z Flip 8 at its Unpacked event, revealing a device that focuses on iterative refinement rather than a major overhaul. The new model is slightly thinner and lighter than its predecessor but retains a nearly identical design and feel to the Z Flip 7.

The primary upgrade is a faster processor, with either Samsung's Exynos 2600 or Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 depending on the region. However, the camera hardware and battery capacity remain unchanged from the previous generation. The Galaxy Z Flip 8 comes with a starting price of around $1,200, a $100 increase over last year's model.
