Suzlon Energy secured its first commercial order for the S175 (5.0 MW) wind turbine from Sunsure Energy.
Sunsure Energy will deploy the 105 MW project in Bijapur, Karnataka.
The installation will consist of 21 next-generation turbines.
This contract follows two weeks after the official launch of the S175 platform.
The S175 is India's tallest turbine, featuring a 175-meter rotor.
The model uses a 160-meter hybrid tower to improve energy yields.
This deal marks Sunsure’s third order with Suzlon in 14 months.
The total partnership between the two companies now exceeds 400 MW.
