Toyota Motor’s global vehicle sales fell 7.2% year-over-year in May. The company sold 834,279 vehicles, marking its fourth consecutive monthly decline. Overseas sales dropped 9.6%, outweighing an 11.1% increase in the domestic Japanese market.
Sales in China plummeted 31.7% amid intense market competition. Middle East sales fell 38.6% during the period. U.S. sales remained nearly flat with a 0.6% dip. Global production decreased 5.5% for the month.
