Toyota Motor Corp. signed a definitive agreement to acquire a one-third stake in cellcentric. The transaction establishes Toyota as an equal partner alongside Volvo Group and Daimler Truck AG.
The venture focuses on developing and commercializing hydrogen fuel cell systems for heavy-duty trucks. By pooling resources, the partners aim to accelerate the adoption of sustainable mobility solutions and enhance cellcentric’s market position.
The deal is expected to close in late 2026 or early 2027. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals.
