The system architecture integrates xAI’s Grok large language model as a high-level navigator. A specialized Tesla AI agent processes real-time computer actions to complement the model. The project will run on Tesla’s proprietary AI chips to maintain cost competitiveness.
This development follows Tesla’s recent $2 billion investment commitment in xAI. Some shareholders have expressed concern regarding the diversion of resources from Tesla’s core electric vehicle business.
