Tesla ended production of the Model S and Model X vehicles. CEO Elon Musk confirmed the company no longer accepts custom orders for these models. Tesla will sell remaining units from existing inventory.

The Model S launched in 2012, followed by the Model X in 2015. Tesla is reallocating resources toward artificial intelligence and autonomous projects.

The Fremont, California factory will convert production space for the Optimus humanoid robot. The facility will also manufacture the Cybercab, a dedicated autonomous robotaxi.
