Regulators identified a potential suspension defect that could cause a loss of steering control. The agency received 156 owner complaints alleging the front lower lateral link detached while driving.
Most drivers reported the failure occurred without warning. Some owners noted hearing unusual noises before the component failed.
The defect can render the vehicle undriveable. No crashes, injuries, or fatalities have been linked to the issue to date.
