US-based WattEV will deploy 370 Tesla Semi electric trucks to establish a major freight network in California. This agreement represents the largest single order for the Tesla Semi to date.
Tesla plans to deliver the first 50 trucks in 2026. The full fleet will reach operational status by the end of 2027.
WattEV will construct new charging infrastructure at the Port of Oakland and Fresno. These stations will feature Tesla’s Megawatt Charging System.
The deal supports Tesla’s production ramp-up at its Nevada factory. This expansion aims to demonstrate the viability of electric long-haul trucking over diesel alternatives.
