Tesla Inc. received provisional approval to launch its Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised system in Denmark. The Danish Road Traffic Authority, Færdselsstyrelsen, confirmed the authorization on June 9, 2026. Tesla expects to begin the software rollout to local customers shortly.
Denmark is the fourth European country to greenlight the advanced driver-assistance technology. This decision follows similar clearances in the Netherlands, Lithuania, and Estonia within the past two months.
Danish officials accepted the provisional type approval originally issued by the Dutch vehicle authority, RDW. Færdselsstyrelsen also conducted an independent review of Tesla's technical documentation.
These individual country approvals allow Tesla to expand its software footprint. A slower, EU-wide regulatory process is currently underway.
