Uber Technologies Inc. launched a voluntary cash offer to acquire Delivery Hero SE for €41.50 per share. The transaction values the German food-delivery firm at an equity value of approximately $14.8 billion. Uber intends to use the acquisition to expand its international market presence.

Major shareholder Prosus NV has already agreed to tender its shares to Uber. To address potential antitrust concerns, Delivery Hero will sell business units in 14 markets to investment firm SSW Partners. This divestment remains contingent on the successful completion of the Uber takeover.

The companies expect the transaction to close in the second half of 2027.
