Uber Technologies Inc. agreed to acquire Blacklane, a Berlin-based chauffeur booking platform. The acquisition signals an expansion into the luxury and executive travel markets.
The move aims to bolster Uber’s recently launched Uber Elite service. Blacklane was founded in 2011. The platform operates in more than 500 cities across 60 countries.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close by the end of 2026.
