Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi stepped down from the Board of Directors of Grab Holdings, effective July 6, 2026. Khosrowshahi served on the board since 2018, following Uber's sale of its Southeast Asian operations to Grab.

The departure coincides with Grab's proposed acquisition of foodpanda's business in Taiwan. This move aims to avoid potential conflicts of interest. Uber Eats is a major competitor in the Taiwanese market.

Both companies confirmed Uber's economic interest and ownership stake in Grab remain unchanged. Following Khosrowshahi's exit, Grab's board will comprise six directors, four of whom are independent.
