Uber is partnering with Pony.ai and Rimac-backed startup Verne to launch Europe's first commercial robotaxi service.
The service will debut in Zagreb, Croatia, where on-road testing is currently underway.
Verne will operate a fleet of electric vehicles featuring Pony.ai’s Level 4 autonomous driving technology.
Users can book these autonomous rides directly through the Uber app.
The partners plan to scale the fleet to thousands of vehicles and expand across Europe in the coming years.
