Vedanta Limited reported record production volumes in the second quarter of fiscal year 2027, with milestones in zinc, aluminium and chrome.
Zinc India recorded its highest-ever second-quarter mined metal production. Vedanta’s aluminium business achieved its highest-ever quarterly production, supported by higher alumina output and the commissioning of a new smelter potline at BALCO. The ferrous division also posted its highest-ever second-quarter chrome ore production.
Performance varied across other businesses. Oil and gas daily gross operated production declined year over year, while iron ore production in Karnataka fell amid operational challenges in the iron and steel segment.
Port operations performed strongly. The power business reported its highest-ever quarterly power sales.
