Collins Elbit Vision Systems secured a $585 million contract from the U.S. Navy for F-35 helmet-mounted display systems. The joint venture between Elbit Systems of America and Collins Aerospace will produce hardware for Lot 18 and Lot 19. Work concludes in July 2029.
The contract supports the U.S. Air Force, Marine Corps, and Navy. It also covers F-35 Cooperative Program Partners and Foreign Military Sales customers. These helmet-mounted displays serve as the primary flight and targeting interface for F-35 pilots.
This award reflects sustained investment in the F-35 program, currently the world's largest defense project. The deal signals continued health for the aerospace and defense supply chain. This development serves as a key performance indicator for investors in the XAR ETF.
