Hyundai Motor Group and Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) signed a memorandum of understanding to develop and mass-produce advanced air mobility (AAM) aircraft.

The partnership combines Hyundai’s electric vehicle powertrain technology with KAI’s aircraft manufacturing expertise. The agreement covers joint aircraft development and the commercialization of electrified aviation powertrains.

Both companies will also collaborate on supply chain management and certification processes. This move targets the urban air mobility market as a primary growth sector for the aerospace industry.
