MDA Space officially debuted its MDA MIDNIGHT spacecraft at the 41st Space Symposium in Colorado Springs. The maneuverable space control system allows defense organizations to protect critical low Earth orbit assets from emerging threats.

The platform provides advanced capabilities including rendezvous and proximity operations (RPO) and on-orbit inspection. It also features electronic countermeasure detection and the ability to capture, release, relocate, or de-orbit non-operational assets.

This unveiling positions MDA Space to capitalize on rising defense spending for orbital security. The system aims to protect national satellite infrastructure used for communications, navigation, and intelligence.
