Bank of America launched the Critical Infrastructure Finance Initiative to provide $250 billion in financing, investment, and advisory services. The bank aims to deploy this capital for U.S. infrastructure projects by July 2027.

The initiative focuses on digital infrastructure including data centers, semiconductors, and telecommunications. It also targets energy and power infrastructure across conventional and renewable sources. Additional funding will support core infrastructure like the electrical grid and critical minerals mining.

Bank of America’s Global Capital Solutions and Global Infrastructure and Sustainable Finance teams will lead the effort. The bank will utilize corporate lending and debt underwriting to facilitate capital deployment. This move follows a broader industry trend of private sector mobilization for national projects.
