ExxonMobil signed a memorandum of understanding with QatarEnergy and Egypt's Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources. The agreement explores options to monetize natural gas from Cyprus by utilizing Egypt's established infrastructure.

The partners will study transporting gas from ExxonMobil’s Cypriot discoveries to Egypt’s liquefaction and export facilities. This initiative aims to increase the economic value of regional resources and enhance Eastern Mediterranean energy integration.

The collaboration leverages the existing operational presence of ExxonMobil and QatarEnergy in both Egypt and Cyprus. The deal strengthens Egypt’s position as a regional energy trade hub and may drive further investment.
