Talks between Zalando management and the Erfurt logistics center works council have reached an impasse. The council accuses the board of ignoring dialogue requests after employees submitted 1,250 concern cards. The council’s chairman characterized the company’s communication as a provocation and a new low.
Co-CEO David Schröder proposed a conciliation committee to resolve the dispute. The works council is currently challenging the formation of this committee in court.
Zalando scheduled the Erfurt facility closure for September. The move will eliminate 2,700 jobs at the site.
