Apple now assembles 25% of its global iPhone supply in India.

Production in the country reached approximately 55 million units in 2025. This volume represents a 53% increase over the previous year.

The shift aims to de-risk the supply chain from geopolitical tensions and reduce manufacturing dependence on China. India’s production-linked financial incentives support this strategic expansion.

Manufacturing partners Foxconn, Pegatron, and Tata Electronics have expanded operations to facilitate the increased output. These facilities now assemble Apple’s entire latest iPhone lineup.
