Apple is reportedly planning a significant redesign of its MacBook Pro line, which will feature OLED displays for the first time. This information, originating from a newsletter by Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, suggests the redesigned models will be exclusive to the higher-end M6 Pro and M6 Max chip configurations and are anticipated to launch between late 2026 and early 2027. This would mark the first major update to the MacBook Pro's design since 2021. The new models are expected to feature a thinner and lighter chassis, enhancing portability. In addition to the superior visual quality of OLED screens, which offer deeper blacks and more vibrant colors than the current mini-LED technology, Apple is also reportedly exploring the integration of 5G connectivity. If implemented, this would be the first time Apple has included mobile network capabilities in its laptops.
