The initial production batch targets panels for approximately 9 million units. This supply is intended for the vertically folding device.
This development follows Samsung Display's recent actions at the CES trade show. The supplier unveiled an advanced OLED display featuring a less noticeable crease. The company abruptly removed the display after reports linked the technology to Apple’s upcoming foldable phone.
Both Apple and Samsung Display declined to comment on the matter.
