Apple is testing at least four frame styles for its first AI-centric smart glasses. The project functions as a dedicated accessory for the iPhone.
Design options include two rectangular styles, with one resembling Ray-Ban Wayfarers and another mirroring CEO Tim Cook’s frames. Two additional styles feature oval or circular frames in various colors.
The device integrates cameras, microphones, and sensors rather than providing full augmented reality. It utilizes a unique camera system with vertically oriented oval lenses.
Core features include AI interactions, music playback, and media capture. Apple could launch the wearable as early as 2027 as part of a broader AI strategy.
